About Us

The Skating Club of Hingham was started at the Pilgrim Skating Arena in 1973 with the intent to provide opportunities to figure skaters from the Basic Skills level to the Senior Level. The Skating Club of Hingham was accepted as a full member of the United States Figure Skating Association in 1975 and is also a member of the New England InterClub Council. For the 2004 skating season, the Skating Club of Hingham was awarded the NEICC Freeskating Championship Trophy.

On August 4, 1992 the Board of Directors of The Skating Club of Hingham passed a motion that states, "USFS and ISI will be harmonious in The Skating Club of Hingham and will receive equal recognition for their accomplishments as members of The Skating Club of Hingham."

On May 4, 2009 the Skating Club of Hingham moved to our new home, the Mark Bavis Ice Arena in Rockland.
