Opened in December, 1999, the Salt Lake County Ice Center is a year-round, indoor ice skating facility located in the heart of Murray just south of Murray Park. It was the second ZAP (Zoo, Arts and Parks tax) funded recreation facility to open in Salt Lake County.
The Ice Center is also home to the Salt Lake County Sports Offices.
Amenities at the Ice Center include:
1) An Olympic sized ice surface (200' x 100')
2) Seating for 500 spectators
3) A large lobby area
4) Skate rental area
5) Food concessions area
6) Party room
7) Pro shop, with skate sharpening available
8) Dressing room facilities
The County Ice Center was also utilized as a practice venue during the 2002 Olympic Winter Games.
